A note on peacocks
My grandmother had a vase of peacock feathers on the landing. Whenever I see a peacock feather, it reminds me of her; a woman who provided comfort, understanding and unconditional support.

One of the core foundations of counsellor training is the notion of unconditional positive regard - I regard all clients with positivity and without judgement, I offer comfort, understanding and support throughout the process of our therapy together - and so it seemed fitting to share the peacock feather as my emblem.

Peacock feathers are also a symbol with diverse meanings across various cultures: rebirth, renewal, wisdom, enlightenment. Much like a peacock that sheds its old feathers to reveal new, more vibrant ones, therapy offers individuals the opportunity for personal transformation. This process allows you to let go of the past and emerge as a more vibrant, authentic version of you.
